i'm not a big bon jovi fan, though i was surprised at how many songs i actually recognized during their jazzfest set.  regardless of what one thinks of his music, his relatively quiet, under the radar philanthropic endeavors, by donating both money and time, cannot be overlooked and should be celebrated.  the dude walks the walk.  cheers, jon bon jovi...you have my respect.

Read something about their being scheduled for a show @ Mohegan last Saturday...postponed til October because of the snow, but they did a free show for the 2,000 people who were snowed in there. That's pretty cool.

 

Saw them at that one day Earth "festival" at the Meadowlands a few years ago. Never been a huge fan, but I would pay to see them play "Who Says You Can't Go Home" in Jersey again...the energy from the crowd, and from the band, was off the charts.
