be safe and enjoy the snow, everyone! ![]()
no snow here at the southern Jersey shore, but we weren't expecting any this early, and not much in total at any rate. maybe 2 inches, total. if that. it's so wet out that i'd be surprised if anything's able to stick if it does turn to snow! it'll have to get a bit colder first, too.
right now i'm more concerned about flooding...high tides are at 6:15 tonight and 6:45am tomorrow, and it could get messy for a lot of folks around here, with tides 6-7 feet above normal. it's been raining cats and dogs since before sunrise today. this is nothing compared to what we experienced in October, but it's still a concern. our home at least is high and dry.
i'm hoping Jason can get home tonight. we're supposed to be at a family member's viewing up north this evening, but our roads are already flooding so he convinced me to stay home. he's been at work all day and the funeral home is (sort of) on his way home so he's representing for both of us tonight. i'll feel a lot better when he's home safely. not so worried about him, i know he'll take his time and drive carefully or not at all. it's everyone else on the roads that i worry about.

nope...but i have one guy home who tends to open doors and wander a bit and only one staff person on, so if he has too much af an issue with him, i may have to walk a mile in this shit and go help him...but i will if i have to...but i gave him a plan that should work...
(the ONLY reason we are worried is when staff goes out to shovel the fire escape...but i told my staff to only go out for 15 or 20 mins at a whack so the guy indoors doesnt have time to figure out he is alone and to lock doors and take the keys with him...
