So my parents have been away. My uncle has been around to watch grandma. I cook, he does the changing, bathing stuff etc. So I assumed my parents would be back at a normal hour and told him he could head home around 6 tonight. Of course, Grandma bedtime comes and they are not home. Well I learned some things. When changing an elderly women and trying not to see too much. Make sure you unziip the back of her sweater, so it doesn't get stuck on her head and she flails around half naked like a bug. Second, always have a hanky, Grandma don't give a fuck if she is taking her pants off in front of you when she has to blow her nose she has to blow her nose. I need a vacation and some memory erasers. ahhhh beer

just remember, one of these days when you are grey and saggy, someone will be talking about dealing with your bits and your need to perform a bodily function at inopportune times

Good job man.
I've been there. Except mine had a major modesty issue which required that I do everything blind, which now that I think about it, may have been best for both of us. Except that to do the job, I had to actually see and just pretend to be blind. But all that sagging helps to not really be able to see anything anyway.

My Mema is 85. She's afraid to get in and out of the tub by herself, so she always showers. But she loves a hot bath. So when my sister or I go to visit, we help her in and out of the tub. There is **nothing** to her. She is 4ft9 and 90lbs, ((she's an inch shorter and 10lbs heavier than my 8 year old)
I am 17 inches taller, and about 130lbs heavier than she is, I told my sister I feel like I'm playing with dolls, lol
I miss you, wingman!

Hats off to you and all of you out there taking care of elderly family. I don't how you do it.
My Mom, who turns 70 herself next year, had been taking care of her mother day and night for the last number of years. My grandmothre refused to get help, go to a home. Fought any aids that came over. Only my mother could care for her. Her only child.
It was very, very tough on my Mom and Dad. In a way I'm relieved for everyone. My grandmotherpassed away this week. She was 96.
