Depends.   If there is 2 feet of snow, and still coming down saturday AM, prolly won't make it.   If it stops early, then I will make it.

while i try not to buy into the hype surrounding upcoming storms, i do acknowledge the fact that i, and the people i work with are not always in the position to take the day from work...and things like cars and bodies do get damaged in winter accidents...

True, but I have seen people with over 10 gallons of milk in their carts.  Who knows, maybe they have a lot of kids.

By tomorrow evening, these shelves will be bare of bread, eggs, and milk.  Dunno about the rest of the country, but here in New England, they act like every storm is gonna shut the world down for 15 days.

Not everyone of course.

Things that do not require either cooking or refrigeration are optimal.  One can deviate from there based on provisions; coolers and ice, grills, camping stoves, etc...

jbetty, here is what my weather oracle says for you guys:

7-DAY FORECAST
  • Today Mostly cloudy, with a high near 30. Light and variable wind becoming northeast around 5 mph in the afternoon.
  • Tonight A chance of snow showers, mainly after 3am. Cloudy, with a low around 20. East wind 3 to 6 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.
  • Friday Snow showers, mainly after 8am. High near 33. Northeast wind 8 to 11 mph, with gusts as high as 22 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New snow accumulation of 2 to 4 inches possible.
  • Friday Night Snow. The snow could be heavy at times. Low around 21. Blustery, with a north wind 15 to 23 mph, with gusts as high as 45 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%.
  • Saturday Snow, mainly before 2pm. The snow could be heavy at times. High near 25. Blustery, with a north wind 17 to 21 mph, with gusts as high as 41 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%.
  • Saturday Night Mostly clear, with a low around 11.

that is from NOAA and note that they decline to guess at accumulations until they have a reasonable idea, instead of reciting the worst possible model/scenario :bang:

this is why i ONLY look at their weather

looks like your worst snow will be friday night...
