I'm so out of the loop with Popular music, that it took her performance at the Super Bowl to finally realize who Beyonce is. I've heard the name before, but not really caring about that genre of music, she got lumped into the mix with the trillion other current day artists with forgettable names. Nothing makes me feel older than to look at Rolling Stone Top 10 lists and not recognize a single name! LOL
aside from the amazing production, lighting, fireworks, lasers...and plenty of shaking booty to druel over...(was that *my* lick marks all over the HDTV screen?) She had some very cool Tribal chant beat things going on, which I loved. Would love to see her standard arena performance.

Palladia runs the 2011? Glastonbury Festival that has 15 mins or so of Beyonce performing.

I thought her show was amazing. The sequence of her (and other real/video dancers) in front of the video screen backdrop was mind melting. Not even sure what was going on.. Gonna have to watch it again.
they had likely several high-definition screens inlaid in the stage and set up as one screen with probably some pretty heavy lexxan over top of it to protect it and then they had a top-down camera angle for those sequences, unlikely to be visible to the audience in person but works very well on screen... I thought that was pretty impressive too

Yup. Pretty sure it was a compound live image too. Impressive technology, and probably took a lot to make it run so smoothly.
And yeah, HD floor screens that you can walk on are getting much more common. When you add a few cameras and sensors, you can do some amazing interactive stuff.
I'm pretty geeky about this stuff as an exhibit guy.

that kind of stuff completely fascinates me... amazing multimedia technology available now... sure beats the hell out of a 70s style lighted dance floor

You should see some of the interactive installations I mentioned! The first used an LCD projector overhead, with special motion sensors that could "see" where people were and where they touched the image. Picture stepping stones in a pool that disappear into trippy ripples when you step on them. REALLY cool. Now they've hit the next level with large HD screens (eliminates projectors and problems with shadows and blocking sensors) and much better touch and position sensors. In public, you can sometimes find them at museums and shopping centers. There used to be one at the Metreon in San Fran. Always a million kids on it.
Nice thing about being in exhibits is I often get to check this kind of stuff out when it's bleeding edge. Partly because sales reps for that kind of technology get hard when they find out who I work for (very large company that exhibits a LOT).
You know Jordan, I'm going to have to keep an eye out for cool stuff like this at trade shows and take some #1s for you.

Send a message?Jeez you love laughing at me for weird reasons. We really need to hang soon because I feel like you don't get me anymore. What kind of message?
I was knee deep in my hardcore music banging out work so the messages I refer to probably encompass peace, brotherhood, standing up for rights, not forgetting your roots and on and on.
My post was quasi facetious...hence the
