She's not doing well, and got more bad news at the Dr. today.

Her surgery is tomorrow. I'm hoping for the best.

She's walking laps around the floor and having a normal recovery.

We had a setback this week, but she remains undeterred. Fluid built up behind the incision, so they had to remove all the staples and clamp it shut. That left her unable to get out of bed on her own. Then she got an infection and was moved to a private room with a gown-and-gloves protocol. They lifted the protocol. Now she wants her cane so she can walk around without the walker. She doesn't take kindly to being old and frail, and she's determined to get the hell outta there and into the rehab so she get her strength back.
