Cheating while riding a fucking bicycle does not equal raping children. Thanks.

I'd love to see how they made that connection.

Have they started blaming him for Newtown yet?

People are idiots.

The cheating while riding a bicycle reference seems to have gone over my head.

I think the comparison is on the cover up portion of the story.  along with the lies and the bullying.

No denying that Chase. I just felt the above comparison was ludicrous and couldn't express that on FB.

I also think the comparison has to do with the lives of people Joe Pa and Lance trampled to prop them up.

DHJ, I agree, but just trying to point out there may be similarities in whole, but the actions are no where near the same.

Fraud vs rape.  (not the same thing)

I agree, but Armstrong has a lot to make up for.

All those innocent people's reputations he destroyed to cover up, all the money he took under false pretenses from sponsors, all the people that should ACTUALLY have been acknowledged as the winners of the races... His apology doesn't mean shit until he does something for those people.

And, he should be prosecuted for perjury, if possible. He should get jail time for what he has done.

Why not?

I don't discuss controversial topics on FB as most of my contacts are of a professional affiliation.

Agree, but I have heard the statue of limitation is up on many of the crimes that he could be prosecuted on.

I did hear many of the people who he sued or settled out of court with will be coming after him.

I watched his Oprah interview with interest.    I don't know why, but I actually feel a bit sorry for Lance.     This doesn't mean I condone what he's done at all, I know his actions and behavior has decimated people, and has a massive negative impact on himself, family, friends, associates, and even large organizations.   And for that, he will probably face years of lawsuits.       I just find it uncomfortable to watch somebody dig himself into such a deep hole, and then have it all played out in public like this.     I don't put him in the same class as, say Adam Lanza...who should truly fry in hell.

I have not followed this story, but why does he feel the need to come clean?

Can't he just run away, and not say anything?  Does he think he will get endorsements again?

The time to come clean was a decade ago.  He has hurt many people since then.

The comparison would only be valid if Armstrong had a bicycle with no seat that he made young boys ride.
