http://www.sfgate.co...-in-4203841.php His Church is a few blocks from the Holiday Inn that some people stay at for Vibes. I wonder what the guy that used to drag the huge cross around saying we were all going to hell thinks about this.

And for some reason, this is strangely unsurprising.

The Catholic priest busted for allegedly dealing crystal meth was suspended after church officials discovered he was a cross-dresser who was having sex in the rectory at Bridgeport's St. Augustine Cathedral.

Everytime I read that story, I read it as "sex in the rectum"

the preisthood seems like the best job ever. no matter what you do you can't lose your job or your pay.  if you commit a crime your company will cover it up for you or move you to another location where no one knows you. who else offers that kind of job security?

Police Union, as probably the easiest to cite.

i don't think they eternally move police that are in trouble but they are masters at the cover up, but good point.

It's not just the Catholic priesthood that covers up for their officials. Ministers and Rabbis from other denominations have also received the same type of "protection" over the years.

Another in a long list of reasons why my personal belief of organized religion is that it's a scam used to gain and hold power and money.  Catholics aren't the only ones, to be sure, but I think if they didn't invent it, they sure did perfect it.

Anyway, probably not as eternally as the priesthood ;-)
