The bakery was approved by the board of health this evening!

 

He pointed out a few small things like we need to cap a single drain pipe and cover and outlet in the kitchen.  Very easy fixes, plus we still have to paint the kitchen ceiling.  We were waiting to make sure they did not come in and say, you need some other stupid expensive equipment installed first.

 

Kate is planning on having a soft opening sometime next week, with a grand opening in the beginning of February.

 

Get the sign for the window on Saturday.

Makers mark is used for specific recipes.  We do not have a liquour license.

 

We did give some away on Saturday evening when we had a grand opening party and Kate made a Makers Mark punch.

We were discussing this story this past weekend.  The Makers Mark was free.  They approached her for her to make a recipe and now they want to publish it.

 

I think they expanded to quickly (without reading the whole thread)/
