i'm scared!

haven't even plugged it in yet or watched the dvd but i haven't really had time yet... went to the fabric store yesterday and a very helpful gal told me what kind of thread to use (and not use...) and sold me a $7.00 remnant for 2 bucks so i can test all my stitches :) i think i will be visiting her often :coffee:

Do you like it thus far?  I got one as well, but have yet to take it out of the box.  :spank:

So far I love it! But the only thing I've done is follow along with the DVD tutorial. It took me the better part of two weeks to take it out of the box. I was kind of intimidated by it. I've only ever sewed on non-digital machines. My last machine is circa 1980 something. I highly recommend following along with the DVD. It came with like 4 pressure feet so I had no idea...

  Thank you for the tip.  My former sewing machine was a Singer my parents gave me for my 16th birthday.

i had a pattern. the husband, being the most awesome husband in the world, gave me a book of bag patterns with the machine :)

it's called, "a bag for all reasons" by lisa lam

Nice looking wallet, in style, material and stitching.

How are you liking the digital machine as compared to your former machine?

Well, I haven't really been using the decorative stitches yet but just having a brand new machine is amazing :)

Your bag and wallet look fantastic! I've been meaning to make a wallet. I think you may have inspired me enough to break the pattern back out!

sweet! :)

i have not been sewing. i had a mishap where i cut a pattern and part of it was material that had a print on it that had a top and bottom (i now realize after cutting all the pieces with the print upside down  ) i went back to the fabric store and, of course, they are now out of that print so i have to move onto plan b which means i need to take the contrasting fabric and find something else that matches it. oy.

i get discouraged easily but i told myself i'm going to plow through and finish this! i'm making my mother-in-law a really nice apron (she loves to cook) for mother's day so i still have some time to get re-inspired ;)
