Evidently 30 years ago I graduated High School 
Got the Reunion invite today in the mail. Can't wait to see some of the old crew. It seriously has been just about 30 years since I've seen most of them. Can pretty much guarantee no one will recognize me.
Love to hear some wild and crazy High School Reunion stories. Watchya all got?

My 10th was scheduled for Labor Day weekend and then cancelled due to a lack of interest, reorganized for Thanksgiving weekend and basically turned into a party at a bar and then someone's house. I did not attend.
I had gigs the weekend of my 20th reunion, also on Thanksgiving weekend. I was told it was smaller than the organizers were planning for.
The people I really want to see I still keep in touch with, and now it's so much easier through Facebook. Maybe I will make the 25th.

Went to my first class(went to a big multi year reunion in 2000) reunion this past summer. 40 years and folks are doing good. We had it in the new firehouse and it was catered by a local deli, BYOB for Saturday night. Sunday we had a village park for a picnic by the river. Good times.

I wasn't invited to my 30th.
Saw some of the folks at a high school open house a few weeks later and they said they put the invite out on lolFB.
When I pointed out that many people are not on FB and they still live in the same house where they received the last reunion invitation in the same hometown the high school is in, I was pretty much told that it's just too bad. 
Which is fine, since I wouldn't have gone anyway.

My graduating class was 4 people, down from 6.
holy crap, josh! my graduating class had eight...i had never met someone with less, i thought!

You should go and REALLY fuck with their minds.
it would make my parents sad cuz my dad is head deacon and chairman of the schools board of directors...it would reflect badly on them...but once they relocate, game onnnnnnn!

I went to my 20 year two years ago. A couple of things I noticed.
1. I played football in High school, and the guys that were dicks in HS, were still dicks. For example: I went to the bathroom, and a couple of former players were in there. One says to another, "hey did you see that kid try and talk to us...". Turns out that kid, was at my table. Although I did join them for 
time, couldnt help myself.
2. During the cocktail hour there was a lot of, wow everyone looks so familiar.
3. Do not bring a date, unless they graduated with you.
Overall it was fun.

i was thinking about the post i amde at work last night and i TOTALLY was like "i bet jen would go and let me introduce her as my life partner!!!!!"
the ONLY thing worse than a heathen is a gay heathen, in their eyes...i love you and your twisted mind SO MUCH! 
i still dont wanna go though...especially since its Mtn Jam weekend

In my case it was the organizers being lazy.
It was all the same people who have organized the event over the years and they didn't want to make any phone calls or send any letters out this time, even though they already had the numbers and addresses.
They just put an announcement in the local paper which I don't purchase, and on FB where I was not active.
And I was later told that there also was quite a bit of an If They're Not On FB Fuck 'Em attitude going on at the meetings.

funny though, I forgot that I did go to the 5th. So its been 25 years.
but I do remember that at the 5th, my HS girlfriend, who had dumped me after just the first week away at college, was there with her HUSBAND, the guy she dumped me for.
she hit on me every chance he wasn't around, then called me numerous times after the reunion to try and get together.
Now I rememebr why I don't go back

In my case, from what I gathered (and I didn't dig too deep at all) it looked like the populares who were in charge just invited their friends and left out a bunch of people. Didn't think they were all that back then, and think less of them now. No worries on my part. Back then I was a mess anyway, probably wouldn't have gone if I had gotten the invite, unless I was single, in which case I would have gone, but I wan't so I didn', er, wouldn't

Went to my 25th back in October. It was a fun time. Reconnected with several friends & had a fun double date with one friend and her hubby shorty after. Planning to do it again soon.
It was fun to see who's doing what these days and also to see how different our lives are now (even though we all swore to each other that we hadn't aged a bit. 
)
Was also fun to see that my h.s. archenemy looks like a dried up old hag who's had one too many plastic surgeries.
