1972 Buick Skylark Coupe- same color didn't have the sunroof this one does. It was mint. It was the last in a line of Buick muscle cars that gave me my Boston "get the fuck out of my way don't think I won't go through you," attitude.

Best past of that ride was, those rims. I had the same ones. When my axle fell out of the transmission, and repairs were going to be thousands of dollars, I sold the car/rims for 500 bucks.


I had this car from 1991 to 1995. Then went almost 6 years with no car, except short run with ex who had a 1986 Volvo.

Then I bought a 1999 Camry in 2001.
The we got a 2002 Rav4.

The only mid-engine car I've ever experienced. It had this amazing balance that allows you to hit rotaries at 90+mph. That car was TROUBLE. Got chased by cops on Storrow Drive doing over 100 and outran them.

I have to add, since 1998 I've only driven one type of car and I've had 3 of them. It has taken me through the most severe weather, avoided falling trees and wild animals at high speeds, maintained traction on an inch of ice when others were spinning out into ditches, and in the rare instances when an accident occurred the guys who crashed into me were carried off in ambulances as I pondered if the buckled hood was worth repairing.

There can be only ONE.



And if I could do it all again, I would have just kept the 1998 A4 sport edition and run it into the ground, which wouldn't be yet.

maybe not so bitchin' but my favorite car to own was my 1960 Ford Falcon wagon. i purchased it from my mechanic at the time who was a real car buff (and east coast president of the Amphicar Association - he had 3 amphibious cars of his own, so fucking cool!) and he sold me an extra Falcon for parts. i finally sold it when i moved to the beach and didn't have off street parking to keep the parts car any more. a sad, sad day.

My first car was a olive green 1968 Buick Skylark, which my grandmother gave me. Although this isn't the exact picture, it closely resembles it in condition! :-) I had it for about a year before I got popped for DWI and my parents sold it. When I got the license back, this was what I bought: A 1979 Chyrsler Cordoba. That one saw many Grateful Dead shows!
