Do these things disappear after Christmas???

I went to Dollar General, Dollar Tree, CVS, Rite Aid, local craft store and (sigh) Walmart and nobody has any. I need a big cookie tin to make a chicken water heater but apparently they are all put away for the season?

larger diameter is better as it's for a 5 gallon waterer

food

put a lamp fixture through the side and put a 40W bulb in it, put top on and put waterer on top. I have a thermostatic outlet that turns on at 35 and off at 40 and currently have a 100W heat lamp hanging over the waterer. It froze solid last night so I gotta try something different.

Very resourceful.
Hope the chickens don't peck at it and electrocute themselves.
Let us know how it works.

 not an immediate thing as it's not supposed to be so cold for a bit.

I also like the idea of saving a bit of energy it this works better than the 100W heat lamp

Honestly, I have no idea what it means except that's is some Italian food lingo. Most eateries around here are pizza joints.

Most eateries around there are pure crap...except Brooks which is better crap. Though trying to explain cold cheese to...anyone is hilarious.

yes they do.

There are a couple decent places around to eat, not many though. Bela Michaels in Oneonta is good italian. Mostly good Italian or meat 'n potatoes. Any ethnic foods that come in are palatable but not good. Also, Brooks isn't what it was. Since the son took over, it's not the same.

The Undercover Eggplant has awesome sandwiches. The owner is one of the Falco brothers if you remember Falco's Junction in Maryland

I looooved Falco's and was bummed when they closed. Didn't UE have a bad fire right around when I was out this summer?

It's been about 6 years to the day since I moved. I think my tenure in Oneonta/Worcester definitely sparked my quests for ethnic cuisines since I couldn't get a decent meal there after having grown up in NY.

UE did but they have been back open for a few months.

Falcos sold the junction to someone that tried to make a music venue out of it. Didn't work. I think it wad called Club 301 or something.

Having lived in many different cities myself, I appreciate ethnic foods and seek them whenever I am out of the area.

So, I just made one out of some thin galvanized today. Might have to put some holes in the top to let some of the heat through but we'll see. Pretty happy with it.

This one is with the watering bucket on top
