his aim was to raise taxes on those (couples) making $250,000+ per year, and he conceded to raising the number to $400,000.

So... is he an asshole for doing this?

I don't think he's an asshole, but I think he concedes too much to Republicans and special interests.

I will say this - I'm positive this result is much better for everyone than anything Mitt Romney would have agreed to. He would have made it a tax deduction to import Chinese laborers.
