I need to try to see some different music next year. Almost every show I went to was Phish or Disco Biscuits. Shocker I know.

nanz. the umph is slaying it right now. There's not a 2 guitar attack out there that's coming out with hotter shit than jake and brendan right now.
1) Jane's Addiction at the Palace in Albany
2) Strangefolk Reunion at Higher Ground
3) Phil and Friends at the Capitol Theater
4) moe at the Saranac Brewery Night 1
5) Strangefolk Reunion at Capitol Theater Night 1 with Al from moe.

After 106 Phish shows, it's safe to say, I'm a one guitar per band man.

I was raised on a heavy dose of southern rock, The Outlaws taught me at a young age that there's no such thing as too many guitars

OK, i wanna play :D
(this is wicked hard except for my number one!)

hands down, number 1 is:
1. Neil Young and Crazy Horse in Boston :Phishfolk: (just blew me away! :bliss: )
2. Jackie Greene in Pawtucket on Sandy eve (best all-around venue, company, atmosphere, show :clapping: )
3. Chris Robinson Brotherhood at the 'dise in Boston (SO good! :gregoir: )
4. Phish in Worcester (hard time picking one show over the other, but i have to give the edge to the 2nd night  )
5. Mule at Mtn Jam (again, hard to pick, but i have to give the edge to night 2, even tho it was colder than a witches tit  )

Honorable mention goes to Ryan Montbleau Band, however, the 4 shows i have seen this month were ALL pretty freakin awesome, but the most memorable (for me) was the "Get Off" cover on Boston night 1 with a sit in by the opener, Mike Doughty...it was truly epic and once Carl hooks me up with copies i will be thrilled to listen to it over and over and over :ura1:

I thought 12/29 and 12/30 were both pretty crappy. I really dug the Carini on 12/30 but that was the only thing I found to be really interesting from those two shows. Everything else was fairly standard or even below standard. Oh well. I still had fun.
