Does similarity = compatability?
Is a lack of true, deep, fundamental compatibility the reason relationships fail? If two people have a lot in common, not even just on the surface level but on a deep level as far as spiritual beliefs, political and social beliefs, etc., but there are several aspects of their personalities that aren't compatible because those aspects are different than or even opposite from each other, does that mean the relationship is not truly feasible?

If you were you, as in with your current personality and similar past experiences, but technically not you, as in a separate individual, of the opposite sex (or same sex if you're gay) would you actually want to be in a relationship with yourself?

Relationships fail for any number of reasons.
You can have everything in common with somone, but there's no spark
Or you can have nothing in common with someone, but there's fireworks
