My favorite sandwich in North America is located at Banh Mi Thi Thi in Calgary, AB. It's a 100% mom and pop run place, and you can tell. I go there every time I'm in town...and it's always consistent.

Rise and Shiner sandwich (from the Kountry Kart Deli in Burlington, Vermont) for breakfast this morning. The Rise and Shiner is a sub-roll filled with a fried egg, hash brown patty, cheese, and bacon.

The Ruben at Koch's deli on 44th and locust in philadelphia....marbled rye, russian dressing (NOT thousand island like these southern heathens put on their rubens) about half a pound of corn beef and sourcourt and melty swiss cheese. MMMMMMM.

They even put pictures up online (although this seems to be non marbled rye bread):
