Prez week starts Feb 16(Sat) and runs thru Feb 24(Sun) @ just about ev'ry mtn. in the Great state of Vt..... Bromley is offering "E - coupon " day for the 24th@ $49.......i can prolly get $39 no lock-out tix for the week/season as a state employeee.......just sayin's all....

Kitty, is there any way you could use your Kind Bud powers so that we could get a group rate for the 23rd?
If not, I am willing to put in some work to see if we can find nearby affordable accommodations for Feb 23rd.

Driving from Berkshires or Boston or is 3+ hours so a day trip isn't gonna work for me either.
If the room is still avail...I'd share it with ya for $40 each. Or if the Hostel has space that could work.
Looks like ski only on Saturday...man those lift tickets are expensive.
I gotta see if it's do-able for us Jabba - I need to find a dog sitter if we're overnight, and I'm not sure what our cash situation is yet... And I don't like single beds!
I know that we DO want to be there... It's just over 2 hours for us... If we come back here, you would be more than welcome to stay the night at The Shire.
How much are the lift tickets?
I'm curious as to the hostel rates as well... Hostels are usually pretty darn affordable.

take a look on liftopia.com They sometimes have pretty good deals on tickets, though being the weekend selected is the MLK Holiday weekend, I doubt they'd have much available. That's the typically the third busiest ski weekend of the winter, so the resorts look to cash in.
The key to reducing cost to tickets during the season is to buy during the summer/fall. I scored a $45 Sugarbush ticket voucher in September.
Wish I could make it this weekend, but pretty much all Saturday skiing is out for me this year except for Snoedown. It's my only real income day throughout winter and I cant afford to take it off.

Pretty much everything is booked at Sugarbush for Jan 19. The other day, SlideBrook did have rooms available for Sat Feb 23. I have put some calls in to Alex @ Slidebrook. - He's been out enjoying the snow, but I did leave a message so he is aware that boardies may want to come and book a room...tell him "Kitty sent you!"

hey everyboardie check out the new ski app for iphone and roids i found and its free!
Its awesome!!!
it knows what mountain your on. What trail, lift how fast you go best speed, consistent speed, calories burn has a 3d map of the trails you were on and lifts and a ton more.
and you can follow each other and compete for standings by using email.
It also rates you with all of the users world wide.

Okay - update!
We had a vet bill last Friday that has unfortunately wiped out all of our fun money. Tyler has taken a shift on Saturday to try and make-up for it so we are out for this weekend, boo! 
That said, the 23rd would be AWESOME! We want to ski so badly, and hooking it up with the Buds is the perfect weekend if you ask me. We are going to aim for that.
Sorry this Saturday fell apart for us, but we need to keep our Pogo Puppy healthy, and didn't expect the vet bill to be in excess of $250... Ugh.
So Feb 23rd?

Heading to Big Bromley Fri. nite for MLK wknd. ...may spend entire 2/16 thru 2/23 week up there as vacation week..... 2/16 kicks off Febfest w. a torchlite parade (anyone interested in doing it ?), which is always a total gas ! Plus there'll be plenty of Cluster folk running amok as well !

The Kind Buds are booked to play the Hostel Tevere in Warren, VT on Sat March 2
Its a great place to eat, drink and sleep .....not your typical hostel. Beds are $35 and very nice!
There on the Mad Bus Route that transports you up to Sugarbush and Mad River too.
I asked Giles if he can get group rates for skiiing - he told me to call Sugarbush -so if people are interested, I'll find out a group rate.

Coming up next week...........Bromley !!!!!!! A special apres ski from 3:30 - 6:30 @ the Wild Boar Lodge....can't wait to see our boardie buddies there!

Really hoping work doesn't spoil my chance to hang for the Buds @ Bromley on the 21st - it's in my backyard fer chrissakes ! We'll def be up @ Bromley this weekend for torchlite parade & fireworks & afterparty @the Boar....anyone intristed in carrying a lit torch whilst skiing down a hill in the dark ?
