I was wondering if anyone would want to get together and do a boardie ski-day? It'd be super-cool to hook it up with a location that The Kind Buds are playing at for some apres-ski fun!
Anyboardie interested? Maybe I can get a list of KB appearances and we can go from there as to dates and locales...

You ask at the desk or bar for a bag of ice cause you took a bad fall and hurt your knee.
Go outside and get lots of snow on your boots.
Put ice on leg and leg up on chair......order drink and sit at empty table in bar.
Ski chicks are drawn to you like moths to a flame.
Put a trail map on the table open to the gnarliest runs on the mountain and before we go skiing i will give you the back story on how you were skiing the devils butt crack and took a mean fall in the moguls because some stupid dad had his kid there and you didnt want to run him over and kill him. meanwhile all your buddies bailed on you in the lodge. :wink;
Thus making you look like an uber compassionate super star who loves kids and would throw himself into the arms of danger.
Look for miserable cold snowbunnies and bingo.............good to go.
At the least you may even get a few free drinks.

From Kitty:
Sat Jan19 Sugarbush North and then SlideBrook at night
Thurs Feb 21 Bromley 3:30 - 6:30
Sat Feb 23 CastleRock Pub @ Sugarbush
SlideBrook on Jan 19 would rock - its a crazy clean place and a great place for Boardies to hang.

Sugarbush on the 19th sounds fun! Would like to ski two days
(Fri & Sat or Sat & Sun) if anyone else is. Need to find some $$$
but somehow that usually works out.

Here is the trick that works for my non skiing single buddies that come along with us sometimes.
You ask at the desk or bar for a bag of ice cause you took a bad fall and hurt your knee.
Go outside and get lots of snow [....]
Was thinking of trying that with my wheelchair... but I'm thinking the amount of planning to acquire an electric wheelchair would make people wonder

What if we just roll you up in indusrial strength bubble wrap and then kick (i MEANT ROLL) you down the mountain? No seriously, cause if you're in, I'm your expediter, and I have several reliable references to say I'm aces as expediting things.

On another slope: If anyone wants to ski Butternut or Catamount with me, I'd love it -- weekends or weekdays. Not sure I can find good live music Après-ski, but I can offer free place to stay that has excellent jukebox, fireplace, magic refrigerator, and hot tub!

SlideBrook does have more rooms available on Feb 23 - (that day The Buds play an apres ski from 3 - 6 PM at CastleRock Pub - Sugarbush)
I am going to put a call into the Hostel in town to see what rooms they have (for both the Jan 19 date and Feb 23 date...) The hostel is real nice - and has a great bar and restaurant (I'll also find out if they have music scheduled for the 23....)
.....I too hang out at the lodge......I am a cross country skier and snow shoe girl.......I would need LOTS of bubble wrap to get me down the mountain!!!!

While I'd love to get out there sooner rather than later, with lift tickets and lodging and all -- I'm much more likely to be able to make the dates in February than I am the 19th. I mean, I might be able to swing the 19th but I'm not sure.
I hear ya - I think the 19th will be a day-trip sort of thing for us... Unless a miracle happens!

Tyler and I can and would love to join you for this sort of thing! Yes, please!

I called SlideBrook and they only have 1 room left for Jan 19 - its a room with 2 single beds for $80.
I am going to put a call into the Hostel in town to see what rooms they have (for both the Jan 19 date and Feb 23 date...) The hostel is real nice - and has a great bar and restaurant (I'll also find out if they have music scheduled for the 23....)
Thanks Kitty!
Okay, it's looking like January 19th is our date! Now I just need to figure logistics...
Driving from Berkshires or Boston or is 3+ hours so a day trip isn't gonna work for me either.
If the room is still avail...I'd share it with ya for $40 each. Or if the Hostel has space that could work.
Looks like ski only on Saturday...man those lift tickets are expensive.
