It's called "becoming ancient". Your ability to stay awake decreases proportionally with increase in age and is exacerbated by seasonal shifts in length of day. By the time you reach 65, you'll be lucky if you see a sunset in January ever again.
Though the upshot is that you are guaranteed to see every sunrise for the rest of your life.

grrrr this is already happening. Sleeping in now means not waking until 6:30. IN THE MORNING WTF!!!!
