when i leave a voice mail at one of the companies we deal with it automatically converts to a wav. file and is sent to the persons e-mail in box.

So then when they play the .wav file it is played on their computer's external speakers?

Some good potential there... call from a friend's phone with a porn vid playing at high volume in the background and leave it on someone's voicemail. Sit back and smile knowing someone will be embarrassed in front of their coworkers at some point today.

I get 'em from time to time...pretty cool but I'd rather not get 'em at all...just call back bitches!

Our home phone does this when people leave a voicemail. Sends us an email. It's pretty cool. It transcribes it all wrong, but that is what I love about it. We crack up at what it thinks it says.

My company does that. I love it because its easy to go back to a voicemail without having to sift through every voice mail you ever gotten and you don't have to worry about deleting something you might need later.

i can see how it can be useful, but i'm stillnot leaving any messages, i'll just send e-mails

( the company in question has a policy that they should't type "e-mail", it should be "email" without the - )

That's cool- I hate listening to voicemail and almost never check it- haven't even set the voicemail up on this phone because I don't want to give the impression if you leave me a message I will ever check it, ever. But I could click.

Our phones do that too. I don't get many voicemails, so it doesn't really bother me.

It also shows the # the call is coming from so if its not work-related, I know to use my earbuds.

I like this at work. I do not get a lot of calls or messages at work. But when I do, I can never remember my pass key and have to reset it every few months.

Now I just click play.

Although, feck the caller should be aware of this pitfall.
