I LOVE Prince! - I get sad everytime I think about missing my opportunity to see him - mid 90's - we were waiting in line at the ticketmaster for Phish tickets - started chatting w/ others and Prince was going on sale then too - BUT T/M would only allow One show for either day......we opted to get the 2 nights of Phish (which was awesome!) and for years I kick myself for not seeing Prince!

love the guy

gonna duck prior to my upcoming comment as it may not be popular and offend some Prince fans.

I view Prince as somewhat of a wasted talent.

He's as prolific of a talent as the music world has seen in the last 30 years. And got sucked up by the industry and fame which drove him to solitude way too much.

I guess I just wish he was never eaten up by pop music / culture like he has been. So happy to see him resurfacing again over the past decade, but I hope it's just the start. I think the best of Prince maybe yet to come. We haven't seen it yet. Hope it happens.

:ducks:

Rumor has it on good authority that Prince has a smaller than average penis.

I gotta dig and find the article where several women talk about his lack of presence

I was turned on to Prince in 1979 by a black friend in the navy and was blown away. On that album he played everything himself for the recording-----amazing to say the least.

to clarify my "meh" does not refer to his musical talent, which I understand to be extraordinary, but rather to the style of music he plays which has never really done anything for me :)

I'd go see him if it was conveniently close and relatively cheap. I thought he stopped touring, though... before he changed his name.

I'm interested in seeing his other movies. He's a strange and interesting dude... and yeah a good guitar player.

I don't even know what you would classify his music as besides pop... which isn't really a genre that I generally like, but I do respect talent when I hear/see it, and he definitely has it.

ok, I admit... I kinda like him

I still listen to 1999 the full duration any time it comes up on the radio. Killer lyrics/tune.

I was dreaming when I wrote this, so sue me if I go too fast?
