Depression does suck and people love to say you just need to snap out of it, but its easier said than done. For me changing my environment works better than any drug. Seeing new places and things, new bands.... just a general change of atmosphere

I hear you. When it mistakes me for food, I try do my best to say, "Fuck you, depression! Bring it on! I will kick your ass!" Sometimes it works. Eating and sleeping well and exercising regularly help, as does making sure I get serious daylight/bright light exposure, even if it means setting a light on a timer to turn on while I'm sleeping. You're stronger than you think, and you can get through this.
