I know we have done clean ups in the past.

I know it is a city park so red tape, permits and money come into play but maybe in the spring we could help with man power or an extended clean up?

Have a couple boardie bands or maybe 2nd stage bands play a local theatre for a couple nights and raise some funds?

Would be cool if we did this for a post Sandy charity also.

Just a thought.

Please relay to the home office.

I know we do this every year but it seems this year is going to be more extensive and if we could off set the citys cost by either man power or monetary means it would show our commitment to the area and would only help out we the concert goer and Terrapin in the long run.

Please dont make the music on one day and the clean up on the next. I would be useless.

But yeah the idea of local bands playing for a benefit would be great. I would come.

Hey guys - thanks for the thoughts -
We WILL be calling on the Vibe Tribe to come and pitch in when the time is right. For now, alot of the damage requires DPW and electrical work before we can get in there and add our muscle to the situation.
Please also understand that some of the delay has simply been that the storm & the citys residents immediate needs have (of course) taken precedence over all else.
Soon, when everything has been completely assessed, and it is safe to be down at the park, we will of course be contributing to its rebuild and clean up.

well if the city is strapped for cash and they need manual labor clean up so some assesments can actually be made...please call us (or me).

Although a nice idea, Tabbooma thinks any immediate effort from the Vibes should go to helping locals that lost their homes and not the park, that is if the vibes was organizing anything which Tabbooma has not heard of any plans. The boardies could do it.. Lots of people down here needing help. ;)

Agreed, thats is a great idea, but if the Vibes has nothing in the works we could do it ourselves.. Should have plenty of people knowing lots of folks down here. As for the damage; up and down the coast is wasted, my brother lost his 1st floor of his house in Milford just North of Bridgport, lots damage and people without homes.

I agree.

Cosmic Jibaros!

And really, like i said the park is going to have to wait a bit - but Tab is right - there are lots of other folks who had damage that need to live in their space right now. As much as we love the park, and know you do too.. it is behind a few other immediate needs.

There are a few places on FB that you can find where and how to chip in... ESPECIALLY the CT food bank, in our area. They depeleted alot of supplies trying to keep people fed after the storm.

Much love and Happy Thanksgiving!
