My Mom and brother and nephew are coming in addition to Rich's Mom, Dad, and brother.
We are making lots of tasty noms. Turkey, stuffing, green bean casserole, mashed potatoes, creamed onions, sweet potato casserole, pumpkin pie, pumpkin cheesecake, zucchini casserole, stuffed mushrooms, peas and pancetta, carrots...the list goes on and on.
Miss Emelia is wearing her Thanksgiving dress. I am excited to watch the parade with her! She will be having some green beans and sweet potatoes (not from the table...ones I've made for her in her baby bullet
It's going to be a good day. I have a lot to be thankful for.

Were not getting nuts this yr with the food. Every other yr a shit ton is cooked and it ends up getting thrown out...well except for the turkey.
You guys go with a frozen or fresh bird? We roll with the fresh ones.

Saturday is busy... Friday afternoon or evening would be best. or next time....
We'll get in Friday late afternoon, basically to drop our stuff and go have a nice dinner before the show. When we figure it out, we'll drop you a line - maybe have a drink with us before the show? send digits.

Then, sometime later in the weekend, I roll up my sleeves and have a Second Thanksgiving. Usually make a few basic Thanksgiving staples (burn up that cheap turkey I just bought with my $25 purchase at A&P), try a few other cooing experiments, have a couple locals over, and just hang out. Very casual. Considering running my smoker just for the turkey.

thurs: we're hosting some friends as we usually do, turkey dinner with all the trimmings
friday: have to be up at 4 am to be at work by 5, since our new district manager has decided that we should open at 7 instead of 9. I doubt we're going to have a lot of customers but you never know. good thing is I can leave at 1, go to the gym, take a nap, then splintered sunlight at brownies
sat: work 3 to midnight
sun: I am actually off, so we might go visit some local friends who we haven't seen in a while
