Just felt like shouting to the world how much I love my dog Onyx.
She was the gentlest, sweetest and, according the vet, the most delicate flower of a dog ever.
She had a sudden and debilitating injury to her spine two weeks ago we believe happened while running around chasing wildlife in the yard. We have learned since that dogs can screw themselves up by accident like us.
Well this afternoon she had to be let go of this world because nothing could be done, and the alternative was a life of pain and the humiliation of incontinence combined with an inability to use her hind legs.
I am hurting so bad now, and I just wanted to tell the people who make me feel so good once a year. Always wanted to bring her with me.
I also wanted to "shout to the world" how much I loved her. She was only 5. But I'd have given 10 of my own to give her just 1 more.
Thanks for letting me soak in the vibes here for a moment. And letting this out.
For Onyx. Run, girl!
