San Francisco may be getting ready to shed its image as a city where anything goes, including clothing.
City lawmakers are scheduled to vote Tuesday on an ordinance that would prohibit nudity in most public places

Hi Tabbles.

I love how the rest of the country is so intrigued by all the public nudity here. If you live here it's just a part of the landscape. I do love that it's another guy named "Weiner" who is fighting the good fight against it.

At the last street fair I went to there was this sinister looking biker dude with an elephant shlong doing the floppy up&down shlong dance. It was a little scary but everyone still wanted to get their picture taken with the guy. . . the teeny bopper teen girls who you'd think would be the most scared were all lining up for photos.

But I don't have a horse in this race, so to speak.

The ban passed the Board of Supervisors yesterday.

I don't much care since SFPD won't bother to enforce it but to me, the interesting thing was that all the supervisors I like voted against, and all the ones I hate voted in favor. But now that it's illegal I'm much more tempted to participate in some of the citywide naked bike rides

In other local news today, a man sitting in his car in the Mission was approached by two women, one in her 20s, the other in her 30s who asked him for money for food. He gave them each a few bucks and then one pulled out a knife and demanded his wallet and cell phone, which he gave them. They fled on foot and no arrests were made.

Pretty funny that a similar thing happened to me recently, except without the knife and one of the two was a cracked-out man. He did not succeed in taking my wallet.

We get the New York City news stations here, lately there seems to be a serial killer randomly offing male Middle Eastern shop owners... clearly your Coast is less exciting (and horrifying) than mine
