I'd say so. Nobody wants a dullard car.

I've been thinking of getting one too! I Was thinking of leasing it though cause I feel like 3-4 years from now I might need a bigger car..it's only $100 a month to lease, $200 if you get the convertable. :)

That's good news. He's a smart and wonderful guy. I'd hate to know he has a dullard for a car.

Drove my Uncle's smart car last August.
It was almost like driving a real car, unless you turn around and look in back.

They scare the crap out of me. I don't see a minor fender bender ending well with a "smart" car. Maybe if I lived on Block Island or someplace similar I would consider one. Of course Louie would prolly have to ride around in my lap, Alice would take over the entire back seat. Actually, I'd just get a motorcycle with a side car, more room.

I drove a Mini once and it was too small for me. I am 6' 215.

I figured this is even smaller.

I will pass.

These are cool. Based on BMW design. It has 2 drive wheels when the sidecar is attached. Prolly a lil cold in the winter.

I was considering it till I found out I was pregnant. Not very safe for a baby.

if Silly Ol Bear can drive around in one comfortably, i figure anyone can.

my father in law drives a Prius and claims he gets better gas mileage than a SmartCar. i haven't looked into the validity of his statement but i do know both Dave and Pop love their cars :)

Both are good cars. We have a Fit and that thing is ridiculously spacious and also gets great MPG.

At Vibes I was under the impression the Smart car was electric, so I chatted Ol' Bear up and then he told me it is a gas ride. I had no idea.

What are you getting for MPG in your Fit? Any minuses with the Fit you have discovered overall?

So far the car has mainly received highway miles. It averages out to about 33 MPG. you can increase that by making some adjustments to the way the car is driven (using the race paddle shifters).

As for any minuses, I have two: A windy day and the Fit makes for interesting driving. And the dang door locks that lock once the car is in drive. I never fail to forget to hit the button to allow passengers to exit the vehicle.

unless they are leaving the car while it is moving, prolly safer to put it in park than hit the button.

It doesn't unlock the doors that way. it's a one way feature.

at this point i'd trade most of mine's features for some Gas, just so i can find a station that has some to buy.
