It's the only way I get to see my nieces and nephews grow up down south. I'm so grateful I at least get to see photos in real time with little thoughts from my siblings. Miss them so much.

it's been a HUGE resource for information down here this week as well as a way to get the word out quickly about that which is most needed in the relief effort on a day to day basis.

honestly i was getting tired of the endless self-promotion and political griping that happens there (and how it tends to elucidate the least desirable aspects of peoples' personalities in a very real way) but after this i have a newfound respect for Facebook.

so, unsigned. totally.

My wife, Kate left Facebook the day we saw the Social Network movie. At the end of the leaving process they ask, why are you leaving? She wrote, "Because Mark Zuckerberg is the devil". Been almost two years now.

I did not leave, and I moderate Kate's business site. She would not have a business site if I did not moderate it. She has 994 Likes too.

You're right, it really has shown some value in this context. But I'm still an objector. Considering a bogus name/info profile since so much crap is tied into it now.

I hear ya on the news during a crisis. My account is still there, but I jsut waste so much time for nothing. I've seen enough pictures of people's breakfast, enough VOTE Because the other guys sucks, enough people I couldnt stand 40 years ago who now wanna be my "friend". It has it's good points, for sure/ It is responsible for a couple of renewed REAL friendships. I'm just done.

I like it because I can easily chronicle my travels and adventures on the go.
