In case anyone in the Orange & Rockland/Norhern NJ area and needs fuel.
The NYS Sloatsburg Service Area on RT87/NYS Thruway has gasoline and diesel available NOW.

I'm amazed its not over run yet. The Sloatsberg station is all the buzz around here, and I'm what an hour and a half away? The local tree service guy has been sending his trucks out there.

I hate to appear overly-optimistic but I passed 4 gas stations in western Nassau this morning with 2-3 hour lines. I've been watching one line out my office window all day... it's a wait but it's not some insane day long event to get gas today.

My cousins in lower Westchester waited 15 minutes last night to fill up.

Only problem is once you get gas you haveto drive all the way up to the Woodbury toll booth and then turn around. At least you could probaly get some more gas on the other side.
