This pier is usually pretty high above the water, even at high tide.

We're going to try carla's mac n cheese recipe, I've got mini pumpkin cheesecakes to start, sweet potatoes with diced apples, mmmmm perogies with butter and sauteed onions, Abby wants soup, so maybe potato leek, and assorted roasted veggies.

1. No. A tsunami is what used to be referred to as a "tidal wave". Surge is a high tide that keeps coming in a little bit at a time and slowly inundates low-lying areas.I have been watching too many press conferences today, I guess I need a decoder.
1- Is "surge" what used to be referred to as a "tidal wave"?
2- Is "assets' (eg., "We will be moving our assets into place") what used to be referred to as equipment and personnel?
Thanks in advance...
