So google maps shows that the eye of the hurricane is projected to pass 30 miles south of us right now....

http://google.org/crisismap/sandy-2012

Gonna get a little windy here if that holds up.

I was at two of our beaches a little while ago. It was about midway betwern low and high tide. The south-facing beach was rolling with whitecaps. The west-facing beach was strangely calm with the wind at our backs.

Still quite benign here in PA Dutch country Lebanon-Lancaster. Light to no drizzle and light winds. Certainly nothing of consequence. But the forecast has the eye passing over my house on Tuesday.

So, I've done Praire Fire shots before. Well once was enough. A Prairie Fire is a shot of tequila with a squirt of tabasco in it. I'm trying to imagine what a shot of Jamison and Cock Sauce would be like. Probably equally as awful. Trying to think up a name is puzzling though due to the multiple cultural aspect of the concoction.

I'm confused. Tabasco is the main ingredient in Buffalo Sauce. I'm trying to draw relationships between Buffalo's, Sweat, Irish Whiskey and Asian Hot Sauce and well, it's confusing.

Frank's Red Hot, not Tabasco.

It's gloomy and humid, but no rain in Shoreline, CT yet. Wind from the NE at 12 MPH, gusts up to 29 so far.

your governor took appropriate safety precautions when he declared a state of emergency. that includes closing schools. with mandatory evacuations and power already out in some places in ct, it appears he is spot on with the closings.

That very well could be.
Now he's talking about closing all the highways.
I'm not too thrilled about the idea of having to take the wooded back roads home today.

Still have to take reasonable precautions, though.
