Please allow me a moment of cynicism and snarkiness.
Dude, I'm sorry for your loved ones if you're dead, but if you are, I wish you'd come back for five minutes so we can all tell you what an selfish fool you were.
The Coast Guard was searching for a 40-year-old man who disappeared in the waters off Milford. Authorities say Brian Bakunas was last seen swimming in heavy surf near the Walnut Beach Pier shortly before 8 p.m.

The funtime pier in seaside park nj has floated away.
I havent heard about seaside park ct.
Asbury boardwalk is gone, the crepe shop is now in the stone pony parking lot.
all those wonderful historic pinball machines... also at the Pony now?
Damn folks, sounds like mostly our people have lost material goods, but are mostly safe.
Grateful that people took the warnings seriously.

Big vibes out to all those who have been kicked in the face by Sandy. She left us here relatively unscathed. But not for a lack of trying. There is damage and power loss, but nothing like the horrors in NY and NJ. Be safe out there Vibe Tribe and families.

We've gt electricity out ( but on via our generator) and trees down blocking our street in several areas, along with loose electrical and cables down. We.ve set up 2 mobile hot spots via our iphones so we can run interwebz action on I pads and apple tv for the kiddies...we're truly blessed and spoiled rightnnow..we're completely safe and set. Best of luck to everyone. Standby generator is the best investment I ever made, sorr of was a tuff 9 grand up frnt, but now we are relaxing and enjoyingnthe familt time....Thanks grandma!!!
