Its one thing to not want to read about horrible human tragedies. Responding that it is unhelpful, negative, or anything likethat is simply complaining. Deal with it, horible things happen to people, and posting articles about them is fine by me.

I guess some people are overly sensitive to the reality of life, and feel the need to let everyone know how fragile they are. Idk, interesting to wonder why Diddy needs to be negative here. Its life, shit happens.

<sup>I think many folks come here to get away from the negative things in life. To talk about music and things that generally make us happy or laugh. I'm not saying those negative things don't exist but I'll turn on the news if I want to watch stuff like that. The old phrase "You didn't have to open the thread" doesn't apply here. and as far as trolling goes...the thread name and it's content aren't exactly trollish and actually the 2 stories could have brought about additional un troll like topics such as gun control and parents being held acountable or even why adults, parents and teachers need to be better adults teachers and parents

also

not everyone is comfortable meeting new folks...especially in mass quantities so not meeting up with boardies should not be used for troll labeling.

People like to discuss different things and as long as they're not attacking anyone else I think they should be allowed to post whatever they want here. We've seen the results of people not wanting to read certain kinds of threads here and the bitching that went on until they got their way and now those types of threads aren't allowed in this forum.

What makes "your" thread acceptable and another person's thread unacceptable? Personally I could do without the poop threads, the save my little kitty and any damn phish thread. Hell, cancer, Alzheimers etc... are sad and tragic how about we remove all those threads so we don't have to see them? Where does the line get drawn?

I opened the thread because I thought the tragic and sad thing may have been something personal happening to yourself or someone you knew, or something of interest because of its importance. When I saw that it was nothing more than a couple (random?) stories of human misery, much like the local news, or tabloid journalism, I felt the need to chime in that i didn't see the merit in the post, and expressed my disdain for the decision to post this, which, as we're on a message board, and is not against the rules, is my prerogitive.

Here are things I did not do:

- Indicate I was upset.
- Indicate I was offended.
- Indicate posting the thread was 'trolling'.
- Indicate that K does not have the right to post the thread..

I'm sorry my opinion of your decision to post this was not well received, but that's all it was. My opinion on your post. That's the long and the short of it.

Hey when I was in Boston and assembled a group to go out we invited her along with 100% sincerity. I would love to meet her and bury the hatchet. The offer was there but was not acknowledged.
