I think it's baloney that hospitals and people shove it down your throat that YOU HAVE TO BREASTFEED OR ELSE YOU SUCK AS A MOTHER, because that is how I was made to feel when I was at the hospital. Nobody told us any other option.

This is so true. I did Bfeed my girls so I never saw anyone. Literally they handed me Cate & we were alone - we were like 'help!' but were left to our own devices. It was pretty hilarious! And then Jess - I think La Leche came in 5 minutes before discharge - yay thanks! but I've been in the hospital room with friends who chose not to Bfeed and they're in there every 5 minutes trying to convince you to do it.

EVERYTHING about raising kids is a learn as you go experience & there is no one size fits all. If it stresses you, it's not worth it IMO. Giving birth & becoming a first time mom is stressful enough than to add these expectations that may not happen.

It's all good. You'll find your groove & it will be fine <3

Well, I had wanted to. Even with them helping me in the hospital I still wasn't comfortable. She only latched a few times when they were helping me. They wheeled in the pump and were impressed with my supply.

We had a latching issue. Add in I guess I wasn't 100% confident in what the hell I was doing. They said the majority of the problem was my milk came in so fast, they were so big and that was what was making it hard for her to latch.

That first day we got home. It took 3 hours to feed her. 2.5 hours of trying, and then finally I pumped and we fed her by bottle. I was so frazzled and frustrated and overwhelmed that I said I can't do this every time I need to feed her. I can't try it for 3 hours and then finally pump to feed her.

I like your comment, "EVERYTHING about raising kids is a learn as you go experience & there is no one size fits all. If it stresses you, it's not worth it IMO. Giving birth & becoming a first time mom is stressful enough than to add these expectations that may not happen."

be careful with the "if it stresses you don't do it part" because, it's not about you...it's about the baby. And sometimes you totally have to do something that stresses you out for the sake of baby. Tis true <3
ya know?~

Some people stress over bringing their kids to baseball practice. Some people stress over cooking dinner every night (I do this)

ya still have to do it....When it was just you...balls to the wall. But other beings rely on you....so stfu and DO IT!

So being on bed rest means that the baby is very active since I am sitting still for long periods of time.

At times it is a very weird feeling......

But i have learned how to move him out of my ribs so I can breathe!

So last night at midnight I realized that my baby shower is in 3 weeks.....

So I went on line and ordered decorations, serving trays that I can just recycle instead of clean and it will all be delivered before the New Year.

I wish I could have gone shopping in a real store but what the hell I wouldn't have been able to do it at midnight.

I love that show.....

Currently I am hooked on Fringe.... I am up to the fourth season. I have Amazon prime so they stream movies and tv shows to my blue ray player. I think they have a better selection of streaming then netflix.

I have found that sometimes Amazon Prime has titles Netflix does not. I also recently watched a couple of documentaries via Hulu. The commercials on Hulu were only mildly annoying. I'll have to check out Fringe, I have no clue as to the premise.

As of 4:00 pm today I have finished scanning all the loose teaching documents that I own.

Now most of my teaching materials are digital! Less mess and better organization.

Now.... on a different note, I love when the fruits of my internet shopping shows up at my door! I think I have had 6 shipments in two days arrive.

Today I have finished assembling the night light favors for the baby shower.

Now I am working on printing the cards to go in the bags with them.

I think doing little projects keeps me sane.

I've heard Treme is a good show....

I like shows that have a few years in them and have been wrapped up so that I can get the complete story.

My cameraman says i get obsessed and watch nothing else..... but it is true.

Treme is a good obsession to have.
Check out the function that tells you what song/artist is playing in the background.

So last night I tried putting lotion on my feet because they were so dry. And try was the best way to describe it. Due to over whelming size of my belly I was unable to accomplish my goal.

Oh I can't wait for my cameraman to get home and put some lotion on my little piggies.

I owned a 72 Vega during my first pregnancy.
I had to stop driving it at 8 months because I couldn't move the seat up far enough for my feet to reach the pedals, since my big baby belly was hitting the steering wheel. :rolling:

Well I have finally found some time to sit and not fall asleep.

I started a thread to introduce our baby moon to everyone.

I am so tired from getting up to pump every two hours and running back and forth to the hospital.

I had to deal with engorged breast for the last 3 days.... thankfully it is finally under control and I have some relief.

Thank you to everyone for helping me get through this pregnancy without loosing my mind.
