I think it's baloney that hospitals and people shove it down your throat that YOU HAVE TO BREASTFEED OR ELSE YOU SUCK AS A MOTHER, because that is how I was made to feel when I was at the hospital. Nobody told us any other option.
This is so true. I did Bfeed my girls so I never saw anyone.
EVERYTHING about raising kids is a learn as you go experience & there is no one size fits all. If it stresses you, it's not worth it IMO. Giving birth & becoming a first time mom is stressful enough than to add these expectations that may not happen.
It's all good. You'll find your groove & it will be fine

We had a latching issue. Add in I guess I wasn't 100% confident in what the hell I was doing. They said the majority of the problem was my milk came in so fast, they were so big and that was what was making it hard for her to latch.
That first day we got home. It took 3 hours to feed her. 2.5 hours of trying, and then finally I pumped and we fed her by bottle. I was so frazzled and frustrated and overwhelmed that I said I can't do this every time I need to feed her. I can't try it for 3 hours and then finally pump to feed her.
I like your comment, "EVERYTHING about raising kids is a learn as you go experience & there is no one size fits all. If it stresses you, it's not worth it IMO. Giving birth & becoming a first time mom is stressful enough than to add these expectations that may not happen."

Some people stress over bringing their kids to baseball practice. Some people stress over cooking dinner every night (I do this)
ya still have to do it....When it was just you...balls to the wall. But other beings rely on you....so stfu and DO IT!
I wish my ex husband could understand this.

So I went on line and ordered decorations, serving trays that I can just recycle instead of clean and it will all be delivered before the New Year.
I wish I could have gone shopping in a real store but what the hell I wouldn't have been able to do it at midnight.

Now.... on a different note, I love when the fruits of my internet shopping shows up at my door! I think I have had 6 shipments in two days arrive.

Well I have finally found some time to sit and not fall asleep.
I started a thread to introduce our baby moon to everyone.
I am so tired from getting up to pump every two hours and running back and forth to the hospital.
I had to deal with engorged breast for the last 3 days.... thankfully it is finally under control and I have some relief.
Thank you to everyone for helping me get through this pregnancy without loosing my mind.
