I am on bed rest for the remainder of my pregnancy.

As of today I am only 23 weeks.

I am allowed to do small things around the house but have to stay off my feet as much as possible.

I had to withdraw from school

I am going to get cabin fever........

Oh man sorry to hear this! I'm curious as to why you're on bed rest so early on in the pregnancy if you don't mind sharing.... no worries if you don't want to!

Hope you can pick up a new hobby and make the baby some new duds with some knitting skills!

My advice: Get an iPad. I was on bed rest for about 3 months post-surgery and the iPad that I never saw any use for became my best friend. BECAUSE: when laying around the house resting all day, time sort of loses form and your body stops caring if its day or night. So many nights up wanting to be quiet but still entertained. And you can only kill so many kittens... A good book is one thing, but and iPad is even better, if you can swing one.

I have a shorten cervix. I am at risk of delivering the baby at any time. I am on Progesterone to help. Staying off my feet keeps the stress and pressure off of my cervix.

I am allowed to do little things around the house but if I am on my feet to much I have contractions. I went into the hospital once all ready.

I already have one for school. I use it and my laptop a lot.

I have been scanning a lot of my teaching documents and books to get rid of the hard copies so that helps pass some of my time.

I think it is a little harder with my Cameraman being on the road so I don't have much interaction with people unless my neighbors stop by.

Yesterday I got to go outside and have dinner at my favorite restaurant.

I felt normal.

But today I'm back on the couch with my cat.

Right.... besides Normal is over rated!

But it is nice to do things with real people instead of just my cats!

I was so fortunate that we did not have any problems with the storm.

The bad new I got today was that my cervix shrank a lot over the last two weeks. So what little I was allowed to do I no longer can.

I am still staying positive.....

Thank you.... I have gained 20lbs but I don't care at this point. As long as my son stays in and comes out healthy I will be happy!

I will have to be strict on my diet, work out and look even better than before.

So I went to vote today. Thankfully my voting location is literary on the same block as my apartment.

It took me an hour to get through the line but I was able to sit and wait the entire time. The volunteers at the polling site were able to accommodate me and were happy and helpful.

It was so nice to get out of the house!

I am scared at the same time too.

Friday I go to see how my cervix is holding up. The earliest I would be ok with our son coming is January 20.....

Ok, so this doctor visit did not go well.

My cervix is still shrinking and is getting close very close to the danger line.

My doctor has said that my baby will be here early, that I need to prepare. How early she is not sure. So I am really glad that I plan ahead on so many things and 90% of my nursery is complete and we have at least all the basics in the house.

Cameraman is going to pick up some of the remaining things today so I can pack my bag and his bag and be prepared for the hospital.

I hope all this preparation means a miracle happens and he stays in till February like he is suppose to.

Baby moon needs some good vibes!

So I have hit complete boredom today.

I am waiting for parts for my scanner to continue working on documents. Apparently I have scanned 100,000 pages and that requires new parts.

I spent all day on the internet shopping, entering free contest and surfing the boards.

I am looking forward to my first child birth class tomorrow.
