so luna spent the day trying to cough up a hairball the other day... if that's what it was. she was fine yesterday then, all night last night she was going at it again. of course, she slept in our room so i am not functioning on very much sleep...

so the vet said that it is most likely a hairball. we are giving her a softener: vedalax. the vet also gave her a shot of an antacid sort of medicine. she also did a blood work-up. yesterday they called in the AM and said that she was super healthy for a cat her age (kidneys, thyroid, etc) but that she had a low grade infection. probably from her esophagus getting inflamed from all that hacking. so lawrence took her back in for a shot. she's hardly even coughing at all this morning
