Very exciting development over here in Basement Generals land! A rep for a company (name announced at later time) has contacted us to use our song Sunshine Deathray for movies, TV, and/or video games. It's one of our favorite songs we have written, and I couldn't be more happy or proud of my friends and band mates at this moment. Even if nothing comes of this, it sure is great to know that there are people out there listening to our stuff and truly seeing/hearing the potential that we 4 know is there!

Please give a listen, so you can recognize it when you hear it in some film somewhere down the line  (hopefully)

I remember talking to the kids of Jimkata one time and they were going on and on about how they were never gonna sell out. I said listen, there's a lot worse things than selling out, like having to work as a bartender or a barista ;)

Congrats and good luck!

I think both bands played at bella terra '11. BG had a conflict for this year, and I quit NC after the AC pre-phish show this past june.

Hoping to get a few gigs on our schedule in time to promote our new studio album "Songs for the End of the World" due out December 2012!

Anywhere good to play in Albany area?

Thanks Jer. Personally, i would LOVE to write music for movies tv or video games. Requires a high level of creativity and hard work with little room for egotism.

I didn't know that was your last gig, I'm glad I caught it.

Contact Greg Bell at Guthrie/Bell Productions, to get some shows happening in the Albany area!

Thanks Rich. At the time, I didnt know it would be my last either. So goes it....

Ill get in touch with Guthrie/Bell immediately!

If anyone else knows of some solid places to approach for some fun gigs, please PM me. I am basically the band manager right now, and I really have few contacts.

I forgot to mention yesterday that you should get in touch with Timbre Coupe and/or Dirty Paris about some show trading so you guys can come into Albany and open one of their shows, and vice versa. You'll probably have to have someone else reach out to the bands though, If you don't have a working Facebook account.
