Have you ever seen The Milagro Beanfield War?

Don't know if it's available to stream, but it's a great flick. At least it is if you're me.

Also, the single season series Firefly. China Cat thinks it sucks, but we know about her taste in, well, everything.

And at risk of sounding like a scifi guy, even though I'm not, the series remake of Battlestar Galactica was pretty interesting...to me.

If you watch Firefly, and think it sucks after the 1st episode, give it a couple more. Liked it to start. Loved it when it was done.

Another show I love (which someone I know saw the first episode of and hated it :funny1: ) is Homicide: Life on the Street.

Cop show set in Baltimore in the 90's. Smart stuff. Dunno if it's streamable.

Homicide's not as gritty, but some of the people who did it did Oz and The Wire afterward.

The Legend of 1900.

good choice
with the full DVD, there is a sound option to turn off the dialog. you still hear ocean sounds, footsteps, chairs move and stuff so it isn't only the music.

Firefly is fantastic! Serenity, the sequel movie is also on there. I usually tell people new to "the verse" to start there. It does a better job bringing you in then the first ep of firefly.

Dr. Who, really it can't be beat. Just watch the modern series. The eps from the 70s are snoozeville

I just watched Wilfred, pretty funny

DMT: The Spirit Molecule is a pretty good doc

Breaking Bad is on there, I just recently caught up with the rest of civilization there.
