maybe you should step away from the computer for a bit, Jules
It's nice to change up types of posts so you don't get pigeonholed but, hey, whatever people want to post...
Sometimes I posted about love, a food for thought piece, politics, monsanto (and to call you out a bit, Jules, you responded to one of my posts quite a while back, with undefended arguments in support of gmos - and I posted numerous sites and documentaries to argue the opposite. You said you didn't want to watch them. so if you call someone out, you should watch what they've watched and have a debate about it, don't expect cliff notes - we're not here to do your research for you, baller

).
I can only speak for myself, and in doing so, hope to provide an alternative perspective about those who post about controversial issues. I'm guessing some may do it do get high fives but others do it out of genuine desire to create change. I don't know the intentions of others but when I posted it was with the hope people might think about and reconsider an issue (monsanto, being more kind, vegetarianism... ). What happened in the vegetarian thread right here on the board shows that people are influenced and make changes based on other people's posts; hence, why I'm willing to continue to potentially annoy others
I do think it's all about balance though. And trying, as best we can, to be accurate, articulate, and sensitive
one bothersome aspect of FB was the reposting of graphs and charts that carried information that had already been proven false- it was sometimes frustrating to see the same inaccuracies reposted dozens of times
