Does anyone know if they are planning on using these this year again?
Where will the location be?

I have a VW bus poptop camper. Last year I was given one of these at check-in, and the guy said it was right on the water. I thought we would be camped in Nirvana, but got confused looks from the parking staff and were quickly ferried into the west camping baseball fields (Tazwookistan).

No parking staff even knew what it was.

Will there be another experiment in parking this year? What were the intentions last year?

...Well...the whole Park is on the water...so at least they didn't lie to you

Maybe cuz you weren't using a tent they squeezed you in rather than putting you farther out where you'd have to be bussed over to see the music

i think 'experiment' might be a fair word. they were for 'self contained' vehicles who did not require an RV pass but were also not setting up tents. along the water might be one place a vehicle with this type of pass could be placed, but is not the only place, so that should not have been stated as a certainty. currently, it is not yet decided if this pass will be used again this year.

I love the west parking area. It's close to the park bathrooms/showers. Location, location, location.

It was a last minute experiment last year. IT was my self and one or two others handing out these passes....

The idea was for people that are sleeping in there car, truck, micro bus, what ever who didnt need a "full camping site" to give them there own cool area. I think we may be doing it again but we will be improving it and see what we can do to make it better....

Thanks for the info guys!

No complaints here on any spot I have had in the 9+ times I have Vibed.
After all it is the people one goes with that counts.
And of course bringing a bicycle makes the trips fly no matter where you are camped.

I just have this little fantasy of openeing my slider and seeing ocean.....

Anything we vibers can do to help out let us know!

My question to you is would this be limited to only such vehicles?
What if 4 of our caravan have sleepers but 2 have "regular" cars?
Would we be allowed to go as a group to this section or just stay together and let the line take us wherever?
Would the parking footprint still allow for a "chill zone"?

YEah, it was limited to people sleeping in there rides.... no box trucks or anything. Micro Buses, squarback, station wagons etc... Now this was a year ago but if there were 2 car sleepers and 2 regulars, I would have said the 2 regs couldnt camp there because there is no spot for a tent. (but I bet your friends wouldt be to far away, if you just explained your selfs to the parking guy/girl. I know they wouldnt want to keep you far from your friends. Now if you ask them at the wrong time when they are busy some times they dont really listen to well. But you know the game

Now I never actually saw the area where the sleepers were going to be, so I cant comment on how much room what there. I was told it was nice and some liked it, and some just did regular camping, but for what ever reason it was just car sleepers.

I would love to hear ANY feedback positve or negitive and we can see what we can do this year to change it up, fix it, keep it the same, do it backwards, then side ways..... or what ever.

You should inform the folks who are actually parking the vehicles this year exactly what a Car Sleeper pass means, and where to direct the drivers to.

Oh I know.... thats on the top of the list. But it was the first year we tried it, so look at it this way.... it can only get better



But I love the idea.... and I will try to get my hands more involved this time and fix it for you all. At least what I can.
