Finally found this, after searching several weeks, at the bodega at the bottom of my street. Go figure.

Perfect for nursing that Sunday morning hangover with some music & a newspaper.

I liked the imperial pumpkin. It was sweet - which made a nice dessert.

We have the dogfish in our fridge. Busting into it this weekend. Pretty excited!

Goose Island has a nice harvest ale.

Not really a fall beer, but at a friend of my wifes wedding reception last weekend they had a serve yourself Switchback tap. I hadn't had it in years, it was a welcome surprise.

I feel like I'm missing out on something. I love the taste of all spice and nutmeg in this though - yet was left with a meh feeling. Guess I'll have to drink more today. If the first one don't grab ya then the second one will?

i loooooove me some brown ales!

pumpkin ales? not so much

going to look for the tumbler brown, but i havent had good luck with the sierra special offerings

my favorite brown is sam smith nut brown
i dont like a lot of spices or too much smokiness in my brown ales
good flavor and nicely balanced is all i ask

Haven't a clue. Never saw Shed beers in anything but growlers and kegs when they were open. All I know is I can't drink a sip of Mountain Ale ever again. When I was an employee there in the 90s, you could buy two Growlers per shift for only $2 a piece. Thing was, you got a $1 deposit back when you returned the Growler. Let's just say I overindulged slightly.

Don't have a photo, but I tried Long Trail's Harvest this weekend and enjyed it a lot. Brown ale brewed with maple syrup.

It's sort of a Black IPA.

Had an awesome one down in DC the other day....its a 10%'er from Cali. Didn't catch the name, but it was listed as "Autumn Maple"...REALLY good stuff, and I actually even hate maple

He's already being regarded as the best brewer in the US. Hope he keeps it small(local). I get the sense he will.

It's really good. It's a limited release that is a variation of their Brown Shugga' Ale. Definately worth seeking out.

Long Trail just came out with a small batch Brown Bag series IPA that is yummy.

 

Just had it at the brewery no bottles to be had reminds me allot of lagunitas ipa.

 

It has a straw color body with a nice hoppy taste with notes of apricot, grapefruit and citrus.

 

Piney hops but not overwhelming with a lemony dry finish.

this dogfish IPA maple is / was good.

Its not "maple syurpy". Worth a try for sure!

The Shed has now become The Crop  Bistro & Brewery. The food is SOOOO good - staff is SOOOO nice too!!!!  I can't say I have had their homemade brew yet because just 2 weeks ago, the new owners got their new brewing facilities and made their first batch of beer!

 

The Buds are back there on February 20 at 9:00pm.  Here is the web site to check it out -  Crop Bistro & Brewery  Stowe, VT.
