Flashbacks of "The Aquarium"?? or was that before your time served in Oneonta?
I used to throw hardcore shows there when I first moved to town before I did the Joey's thing. Went there on weekends with my then girlfriend. All I remember from those nights are the ghetto girls screaming COBLESKILL!
Im not seeing anything outrageous here...
The difference between you and I is that I have two daughters.

I just thought those pictures look really funny. I totally remember doing this stuff at schol dances, and teen nights.
These kids are probably *gasp*

I have a teen daughter and I'm not denying anything. There's appropriate and inappropriate behavior. Would you want your kid winding up online looking like that?
I wont deny that I was these kids less than 20 years ago, probably worse. Ok, I was worse.
What really would stick in your craw is the possibility that these kids could be proud of these pictures.

Maybe I'm just way too old fashioned with my baby girls. I'd like to hear other perspectives besides Paul's though. Chris? Peg?
I dont know how you were as a kid, Josh, but it seems logical to expect your child to do the things you did as a kid, and more, wouldn't it?

I hung out and played punk rock in my basement and at all ages venues.
I think what I'm trying to say is that encouraging the behavior and broadcasting it online is inappropriate.
thats just your opinion, isn't it?
Perhaps as a society we should be less uptight overall?
Shouldn't you be a little less uptight?

It seems kind of unavoidable to fall into the "do as I say not as I do/did" trap...

We did go to clubs that had all ages nights, but they didn't serve any alcohol on those nights. We went to dance and have fun.

I wouldn't have been allowed out of the house in any of those outfits those girls were wearing. Waaaaay too skimpy. Not that I would have worn them anyway.

Im sure they changed once they left. Or, I would hope

Sex is promoted in fashion, music, tv, movies and books.
I would not let my daughter/ niece dress like that and I would try to teach them to respect themselves more than to behave like that.
And an all age clubs in my opinion invites predators.

line 1 opinion
Line 2 fact
Line 3, good luck with that
line 4 is just ridiculous and without basis

Thanks Gmoon. There is a lack of self respect with this generation for sure. They simply don't care.
Paul I hate to say it...but you kind of look like a pederast now that she points it out.
The girl I lost my virginity to was 16. Can we not look at this stuff objectively? Is that impossible when you are actually a parent?

The oldest who is 20 is a virgin and the other is 19 and just lost her virginity to her long term boyfriend.
They never dressed like whores but were very fashionable.
It is possible to raise them to respect themselves.
And I think the pictures show how sex crazed our society has become.
