I'm not sure about the overall terrain, this being my first year at Vibes. What say you?

Road bike is perfect. It is great having a bike at Vibes!

Really? I would have opted for the mountain bike even though there are paths.

(Note I have not yet remembered to bring either of my bikes.)

i think a road bike would be fine, although you will likely be riding over grass sometimes. i bring my mt bike because my road bike is a beautiful old grande dame made by fuji and i'd be crushed if anything happened to it. i bought said mt bike several years ago in fact, just for the Vibes' return to bridgeport - i spent more, by far, on the rack than i did on the bike!

I'm still not sure which one to bring...mixed reviews
I definitely want to bring one, that has become crystal clear from the advice I've been getting. It may end up being a last minute decision as to which one, never know. It also may end up being some hunk-a-junk I pick up between now and then that I could live without if something happened to it

I think my paranoia about something happening to one of my precious bikes might be why I keep "forgetting." I like the hunk-a-junk idea.
Heck, it could even be donated after Vibes.

very true - if you're going to ride in the sand, mt bike for sure.

I'm no bike expert, but my road bike is a lot more of a pain to get on and off (it's got those little feet straps) and I have a hard time riding it over grass. I would go for the mt, because it's not like you're going to be biking really long distances or get going that fast anyways.

Hmmmm. I have an old mt bike in my garage.
Might be just the thing to do - leave it unlocked on Saturday night so I won't have to schlep it home.
