[Feck]

so Sunday i decide to just keep the cat indoors all day to see what would happen.

if had been out overnight Saturday, so it was waiting at the door Sunday morning.

came inside, ate some, came into the living room and played a little.

after i started to make some coffee, it had gone to it's hiding spot and stayed there all day.

came out once yesterday evening when i put more food out - but even that was not without some extra encouragement

didn’t come out this morning when i put new food down.

today will be the test i guess, first day home alone - i really hope it figures out / remembers how to use the box.

other than that he seems pretty happy, didn't even asked to be let out once.

Hiding is normal for many a cat while adjusting to a new environment.

thanks - I'm guessing it's last indoor environment was not all that friendly.

Hiding is normal....cats will do that for weeks in a new environment.

hopefully he gets use to being an insider again in the meantime.

when we bought our house and moved in, Finch stayed upstairs for 3 weeks, hiding under the bed most of the time. She wouldn't go in the basement for months. Atticus explored the entire house the first day, including the basement. Kitties are weird.

trip went well and so did the cat.
gave him a lot more room today, bathroom, hall, stairs and kitchen.
I even set up a table so he could get to and see out of the window.
pet store this weekend and then he goes tot he Dr.

many a fat alley rat had met it's demise while staring point
blank down the cavernous barrel of this awesome prowling machine.
Truly a wonder of nature this urban predator.
Tommy the cat had many a story to tell,
but it was a rare occasion such as this that he did.

the first thing any of the four cats brought home did was hide for a couple of days, they just have to adjust seeing they are in a new world.

weekend was good, he came out a few times and found the window sill overlooking the court yard.
everything else seems to be falling into place as well.

while i've known he has to go to the vet to get checked out, it looks like i may have to go ahead of when i planned.
hopefully just an upper gi bug.
