i recently realized that i need a new cord for my cigarette lighter in the car and for now, have to charge it using my laptop...

my question is, there is no message saying "charging" while its plugged into the laptop, just a blue screen with a pic of the device and a cord, showing, i assume, that it is plugged into the computer

does this mean that it is charging, as well?

i emailed TomTom support but i dont anticipate hearing from them for a coupla days...
