we are being spammed by something/one and its getting our "Status Updates" area BAD...
not that that area is so important, but it is unsightly and annoying
is there a way to block it? just wondering out loud here...

I vote remove status updates!

it's been happening more lately, but new users need to get their first few post approved before they show up on the boards.
So at least we are not seeing actual spam threads

i dont think the section is necessary but i have used it from time to time and enjoyed it...but it wouldnt kill me if it were gone

i just was wondering if there was some way to block them from being able to do it
i dont think its real people, right?
its just stupid spam programs that exploit the status update section?

If you hover over the upper right hand corner of the Status Updates box you can click the "X" to shut the view off...
