I am researching sharing calendars for work.

Does anyone have a sharing system they would recommend?

I only know of Gmail calendar.

I really do recommend google calendar.

It sync's easily with mobile devices- I tried syncing my bosses MSN calendar to her iPad the other day... PITA- google calendar? It took 45 seconds :coffee:
Shared calendar (i.e., a work or project schedule) can be visible or invisible if you don't want to think about it...
Can invite guests and make them rsvp & it also texts your phone, gives a computer popup alert & can send an email to remind you for the event. Also, you can see in the weekly view how shifts overlap

I work at a library and on a research team, both jobs use google calendar and nicely integrates with other products like google hangout for meetings and google drive for real time collaboration. Only once was there a schedule issue... but it was an "operator error"...

So I guess while google is the giant, might as well get a bird's eye view.

If you're ever looking for a shared Task Manager- we've tried a bunch but settled on Trello for now. Its really neat.

If you're syncing with a mobile device and have the capacity- try syncing with MS exchange. Surprised me by working really well.
I remember struggling with it on my mackbook at first (especially when I lived on campus) but generally speaking the google calendar help page is pretty useful and I haven't had any troubles for years.
