Why I've decided to go to Burning Man this year

1. I love the playa! 100 degrees + every day, unpredictable sandstorms, 4000 feet closer to the burning sun. What's not to like!
2. DJs rule! I get to see dozens of DJs play video game music for a week on bad equipment (the good stuff gets ruined by the desert sand). Live music is so overrated, I'd much rather see a really cool dude dressed even cooler waving his hands in the air man.
3. The people are cool and they know it! In fact, they will spend the entire week telling you about it. Fascinating!
4. There was a Dr. Suess video about it on the internets.
5. It is only $350 for the whole week! And look at all the things you get for the price of that ticket doood!
6. It is so cool that they don't sell anything there. I do not require food or water.
7. I hate 2-ply toilet paper and can find a few hundred people there on weird new designer chemical drugs that will help me write protest songs about it.
8. Yurts, dude. Yurts.
9. Everybody else is doing it.
10. If I spend a week there I won't have any leftover time to waste at those stupid music festivals.

11. Rawdogging randos in the sand.
In front of 100 people who will willingly throw more sand on your pumping genitals until the pain/pleasure line is satisfied! Dude. And then you can go boast about it later as your penis bleeds all over the playa for a week.

Julius- I wish this were true because I would LOVE to hear your observations of Burning Man.
Maybe we can start a fund to get you there....for our amusement.
You can send in a helicopter midweek loaded with two-ply toilet paper, replacement clothes since all mine will have been ruined by the sand, and maybe some smoked salmon and baguettes? And then fly out my trash!

I never got the Burning Man thing. My gut says it's like Bonnaroo... was prolly best to catch it in the first few years and by now it's been all cheesed up into homogeneous slop... in the middle of the roasting dessert.
I'd keep on rolling right down 80 into lake tahoe and head straight into yosemite. yummy.

They should make a Vibes one with a tiny Ken and Leda, and a little Camp Velcro complete with teeny tiny gutters and downspouts and Tabbooma cooking up a tiny pig for all the little boardies. And an itsy-bitsy-teeny-tiny Lil Jerry.

This is getting close. I know there's been times whee a s stage and audience looked just like this to me.

So we dedicated a coffee can as "the case of puke" because you can't puke on the beautiful playa and passed it around all night.
But this will be fun!

So it took us 16 hours to get in last night and when we finally got on the gate there was a white-out sandstorm so we couldn't set up camp, were afraid of other cars hitting us and weren't feeling very well adjusting to the climate.
So we dedicated a coffee can as "the case of puke" because you can't puke on the beautiful playa and passed it around all night.
But this will be fun!
Wait ... what? Are you really there?
